#1 Karibuni, St Martin
An afternoon at Pinel Island, a tantalizing tiny cay just off the coast of St Martin’s “mainland,” may be the most unforgettable beach bar experience in the whole Caribbean. Take a one-minute ferry ride to Karibuni, the beach bar owned by the same-named St Martin Hotel.
Karibuni, St Martin is what it’s all about a “Crusoe-chic” beach bar that will make you feel like you’ve miraculously landed on a desert island, complete with wonderfully fresh seafood and the most incredible French Caribbean drinks.
INSIDER TIP: This is a bucket-list experience. If you are going to the Caribbean, this should be on your list!

#2 Soggy Dollar Bar, Jost Van Dyke, British Virgin Islands
The Mecca of beach bars has reopened to visitors following the British Virgin Islands’ borders in early December 2020. Because after 2020, we might all use a few Painkillers, their signature drink. (now with Soggy Dollar Rum from the bar).
Swim in, boat in, eat, and relax.

#3 Bikinis on the Beach, Saint John, US Virgin Islands
We call it St. John’s most fantastic beach bar. Sybille Sorrentino’s Honeymoon Beach outpost continues to lure visitors owing to the ideal combination of libations, pizza, and St John’s character.
One of the most appealing features of Honeymoon Beach in Caneel Bay is its stunning scenery.
INSIDER TIP: Caneel Bay Beach is great for the beginner or avid snorkeler. Before planning to visit this bar, Fox Travel will check to ensure the beach has reopened.

#4 Iggie’s Oasis, St Thomas, US Virgin Islands
There is no more adored bar in Saint Thomas than Iggie’s at the Bolongo Bay Beach Resort. It is now open and welcomes visitors in its present incarnation as Iggie’s “Oasis.”
The cuisine, the drinks, and even traditional live music are all available. You might want to book a reservation ahead of time.
INSIDER TIP: This beach bar is not as remote as some of the others. It is at the Bolonglo Bay Resort. If you want to make a pit stop with nowhere to go except to sleep, let’s book you overnight or more for your island-hopping trip.

#5 Sunshine’s Nevis
A few drinks in the pantheon of Caribbean mixology elicit a mixture of excitement, reverence, and even terror when their names are mentioned. One of them is the Killer Bee.
The Sunshine and its famed hospitality are still at the heart of Nevis’ world-famous beach bar, back open and ready in October 2021.
INSIDER TIP: Nevis is one of the more restrictive Caribbean destinations, requiring a 24-hour Vacation-in-Place at approved hotels (as of October 2021). No hardship, though. Staying at a beachfront hotel on this beautiful island is no hardship!

#6 Le Petibonum, Martinique
The creative and charismatic force behind Martinique’s best beach bar, Guy Ferdinand, is the 2021 Caribbean Chef of the Year. A tall “Martinican” sporting curly, blond-streaked hair has transformed the fishing town of Le Carbet into one of the premier beach bar attractions on the island. His marriage of the French island’s funkiness and Miami Beach’s slickness is one-of-a-kind in Martinique.
The French Caribbean food is outstanding, there’s a Rhum Agricole bar on-site, and you can even spend the night in a floating hotel.
INSIDER TIP: You may find lobster on Friday nights and local bands. On the first Saturday of the month, a rocking beach party with a DJ, lots of music, and the best part… no cover.

#7 Jacqui O’s BeachHouse, Antigua
This beach club on the island’s southern coast is the peak of Antigua fantastic, with excellent music, spacious lounges on the sand, and outstanding cuisine, including the finest Caribbean burgers this side of Le Select.
Jacqui O’s is set on one of Antigua’s most beautiful, secluded beaches. Sit by the Caribbean Sea on the emerald isle of Montserrat.
INSIDER TIP:
Jacqui O’s closes end of August until late October. Be sure you check in and make sure they are open if you are planning on visiting Antiqua.

#8 Da’ Pink Chicken, Cat Island, The Bahamas
This spot is what you picture when you think of a Caribbean beach bar. It’s simple, rustic, and ideal. Set in the Flamingo Hills Resort complex on still-undiscovered Cat Island.
Da’ Pink Chicken is, as the name suggests, “a nice spot to do nothing” — and we couldn’t agree more. Pullover, get a Kalik beer and spend the day doing, well, nothing at all.
INSIDER TIP:
Da Pink Chicken is rated #4 on TripAdvisor’s places to visit on Cat Island in the Bahamas. But, if you love places that are not crowded, this is your spot.

#9 Roxxy Beach, St Maarten
When it first opened its doors at Simpson Bay in St. Maarten in 2019, it immediately offered a new level of fun to the island. Roxxy Beach continues to provide a unique beach bar experience for the island, with delicious Riviera-style food, live music, and a lovely small beach.
But if you are looking for a secluded, quiet place to chill. This spot may not be it! But if you are looking for a sexy, younger vibe, you found your bar.
INSIDER TIP: Roxxy Beach is one of the more sophisticated beach bars with cabanas and love seats for rent, plus tons of water sports to enjoy.

#10 Shellona, St Barth’s
Shellona, only a short walk from downtown Gustavia, is a stunning fusion of Mediterranean and Caribbean cuisine, with delicious food by Athenian Chef Yiannis Kioroglou, great drinks, and an unequaled beach atmosphere.
Are you looking for a sheik, sophisticated beach club atmosphere in a magical setting? Then Shellona is a must. There is a time for funky and a time for WOW! This is the WOW factor.
INSIDER TIP: Shellona is one of a few beach bars and restaurants that take reservations. During high season, starting in late October, be sure and book to avoid disappointment.

#11 Catherine’s Cafe, Antigua
This Pigeon Point Beach landmark, from the crew behind the island’s famed Sheer Rocks cuisine, is the place to see and be seen in Antigua. This beach bar combines French elegance with Antiguan charm. And the Sunday jazz lunches are one of Antigua’s greatest joys.
Don’t let the name fool you. This cafe pays homage to its French roots with a menu that leaves your mouth watering just reading it!
INSIDER TIP: Catherine’s French influence adds a touch of fine dining to the beach scene. They also take reservations, so check in with them before venturing to this idyllic spot.

#12 Garvey’s Sunshine Shack, Anguilla
Could this be our favorite beach bar in Anguilla? You bet! For a good reason: it’s located on the stunning sands of Rendezvous Bay, and it has the ideal combination of rum drinks and fresh BBQ, all masterfully crafted by the great Garvey.
This is a shack and a sunshine spot. Hours are 9:00 to 5:30, so plan on this for your lunch or early dinner casual eats with a great rum drink on one of the prettiest stretches of beach on the island.
INSIDER TIP: The Sunshine Shack is only open on Saturday and Sunday, but the BBQ ribs are worth the wait.

#13 The Naked Fisherman, Saint Lucia
The flagship beach bar of the Cap Maison luxury hotel has reopened, serving creative drinks and probably the most incredible seafood on the island in a stunning location at the base of a cliff. It was named after locals who fished… au natural off the rocks in front of Cap Maison, the Naked Fisherman.
If you are looking for an antidote to the stress of cabin fever, you’ve found your spot. You may plan a short visit but really…stay all day.
INSIDER TIP: Reservations can be made for the beach and the deck.

#14 Pearl Beach, St Barth

#15 Da Conch Shack, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
You can’t visit Provo without coming here for conch fritters and a rum drink. It’s one of the region’s iconic beach bars, and it has it all:
- Great conch harvested while you watch
- A beautiful stretch of sand beach
- A menu to tantalize your taste buds
- A rum bar with every mix imaginable
Rated one of the sexist beach bars by the travel channel, Da Conch Shack is a “must visit” in the Turks and Caicos islands!
INSIDER TIP: According to CNN, Da Conch Shake is one of the top 50 beach bars in the world! The combination of charm, an amazing beach, the menu, and the vibe, mean it would be crazy not to visit for a day or a week!
